MCG Reaches Agreement to Carry Big Ten Network
OSKALOOSA, IOWA (April 30, 2007) – MCG, in conjunction with Iowa Network Services, announced that it has reached an agreement to carry the Big Ten Network on their digital video system when the exciting new entity launches this summer. The Big Ten Network is a national network dedicated exclusively to Big Ten Conference television programming. The announcement was made today by MCG General Manager Frank Hansen.
“We are very pleased that our customers will be able to get the Big Ten Network from its commencement,” said Hansen. “Iowa is obviously Big Ten country, and I expect the Big Ten Network to become a popular channel destination very, very quickly.”
The Big Ten Network, scheduled to launch in August 2007, is dedicated exclusively to the Big Ten Conference and will be the destination for Big Ten fans across the country. Operating 24-hours a day, 365-days a year, the Big Ten Network will showcase a wide array of classic-to-current sports, as well as original programming produced by the network and by the conference’s 11 member institutions.
