MCG started a battery recycling program in early 2016; it has collected over 4,500 pounds of batteries, free of charge, preventing them from ending up in the landfill. There is a battery drop-off at all of our office locations.
To expand on our commitment to recycling, MCG also hosts an annual electronics recycling event in Oskaloosa, which to date has kept over 500,000 pounds of electronic waste from being placed in landfills. The event is open to the residents and businesses of Mahaska County, where old electronics can be brought and recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.
